The full Secret Lair superdrop for the soon-to-release Avatar: The Last Airbender edition was revealed recently. It features five Secret Lairs, and while the one called "My Cabbages!" is an admittedly humorous tribute to Avatar's beloved recurring figure, the other collections seem somewhat uninspired, with one notable exception: "The Ember Island Players."

Inspired by the seventeenth episode from season 3 of the beloved series, this collector's drop contains these specific cards:

What makes this episode stands out

Fans of Avatar warmly cherish this particular episode, which acted as a recap of the protagonist Aang and his friends' quest leading up to the conclusion. Different from other recap episodes, or "clip shows," "The Ember Island Players" was not driven from financial limitations or scheduling problems. The producers genuinely intended to offer viewers a chance to revisit the series' story, yet they chose to do it creatively.

Throughout the segment, the main characters watches a stage show depicting their journeys at a playhouse on Ember Island, titled The Boy in the Iceberg. The whole thing is inaccurate, melodramatic, and completely amusing. It excels because it plays with the heroes' understanding of themselves, setting them against compared to how society (and particularly the Fire Nation citizens) perceives them. It possesses the perfect balance of meta-commentary, and it becomes arguably the best adaptation of Avatar released so far.
