Iran Reports Strike on American Facility in Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Military Operations.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed strikes throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a "massive" and continuing assault against it by the US and Israel.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity in the area of the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any impact is uncertain and the American officials has yet to issue a statement.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - said they have shot down incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was targeting US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the offensive on Iran initiated by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That US-Israeli operation - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck sites linked to the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump calling on the Iranian people to revolt against the regime.

In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israeli military stated it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses engaged the missiles with great effectiveness and shot down a series of missiles," the statement continued.
The statement noted missile fragments landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, causing some material damage and fatalities.
The United States Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
