The second-hand marketplace Users Express Anger About Size Updates
Members of the platform have expressed outrage following a change that caused items being listed as the wrong size.
This online marketplace has revised its size classifications for women's and children's garments without notifying all shoppers about the modification.
Social Media Backlash
Many shoppers and sellers are expressing on platforms stating that platform listings now display a different size category compared to what was initially listed because of the remapping.
The company said the revised method more closely matches comparable marketplaces.
The platform has recommended to review their products and update the measurements by hand if necessary, resulting in member annoyance.
Sizing System Updates
Before the change, the measurements included one number and one letter, for instance S/8 or M/10.
The revised method features an alphabetical indicator and numerical range for example S/UK 8-10.
For certain items, the size labels have been reassigned - like an L measurement used to be a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.

Frankie Bridger, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," as the platform currently indicates.
Stephanie Gallen, located in Scotland, explained products she uploaded featuring size 14 markings were appearing on the platform as measurements 20-22.
"Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they're going to be very disappointed," she explained.
Necessary Adjustments
Another shopper, located in England, stated she felt frustrated because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing".
"This situation is especially annoying, as I'm chronically ill and platform income has been essential after experiencing income reduction," she explained.
Service Background
The platform boasts over 100 million shoppers, including 18 million in the UK.
It has emerged as a preferred choice compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
This represents another occasion when a surprising modification to the app has proved unpopular: earlier, the platform withdrew an update regarding delivery choices after backlash from users.
