The Streaming Giant Selects Spot-On Performer for Bentham in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is geared up to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the major clash won’t take place until the next season, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The streaming service revealed this week that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Mr. 2. Bon Clay can use their power to morph into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that role reimagined as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action show, unlike the original manga and animated series.
The new cast member joins several other fresh additions set to bring the organization to life, including head the main antagonist, played by the well-known actor, a talented actress as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the cast as the monarch of the fictional land.
Even though this character is a major member of Baroque Works, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Considering season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this represents a major departure in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could indicate further changes to the plot development.
Escola’s blend of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the role. In addition to their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.
The platform’s adapted One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
