Your Ideal Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Zodiac Sign

The return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm within the community. From the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions before the game's launch, to trainers forming strong views on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.

Given numerous of the Super Forms boasting distinctive appearances that highlight their personalities, one thought naturally: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly selected for Aries, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being fun, cheerful, and impulsive. That's why the Ram much more akin to Mega Camerupt, which only erupts when provoked. Remain on the friendly side of both and enjoy a strong ally; if you cross them, be ready to face the consequences.

The Bull – Mega Heracross

Similar to a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross species, both in its regular and Super Form, has aided many players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, each the creature and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side unwaveringly. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unashamed love of snacks. Many past Pokédex entries note their fondness for sweet sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Mega Medicham

Look at this absolute royalty. You cannot tell me this creature is not the life of every party, offering an endless fountain of chatter to anyone who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's very easy to envision Mega Medicham captivating an whole open area with their tales. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also states its ability to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which seems very like a socially-savvy Twins.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

The Crab is commonly regarded as the most emotional member of the zodiac, a passionate sign famous for often getting wrapped up in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's too much for this Pokémon to fully manage,” which sounds a lot like a classic Crab emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to make a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s spoil their good time.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Oh, did you assume I was planning to select Pyroar for the king of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be much too obvious, The Lion is clearly Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being too glamorous (or horrifying, based on your taste). Players were captivated from the purple sea star, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Lion offers to the table. Starmie is also said to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a show, even if for extraterrestrials.

Virgo – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The sign famous for being charmingly judgmental is strongly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s just like the emoji a Virgo posts to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a strategy.

The Scales – Super Audino

Look at this gentle, empathetic being, who uses the sensors on its ears to detect how others are feeling by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and striving to keep the peace, there are numerous Libras who would likely appreciate Super Audino's abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to worry even more about others.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Discarded as a toy, it became consciousness through sheer resentment and swore retribution on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a show. As a Archer personally, the number of occasions I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to foresee disasters ahead of time? That gives the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who tends to always believe they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute first Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Aloof element Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame sign that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are numerous jokes about the Archer and Aquarius being chaotic accomplices. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame typing fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general intimidating presence is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s description says it “draws in negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
